Steven Tyler’s daughter Liv is as famous to some people as he is. Liv Tyler has become a well known actress in her own right. Her mother is Bebe Buell, a popular model at the time she met Steven.
Liv was born in 1977 and went into modelling to follow in the footsteps of her mother. She began her career at the age of just 14. In a year she had expanded into acting. In 1995 she appeared in the cult comedy Empire Records.
Her connection to Aerosmith helped her to win the leading female role in the action drama Armageddon. This film helped her to achieve international recognition. Her father provided the theme song for the movie. This would go on to be on of the band’s most well loved hits.
In 2001 Liv played Arwen in Peter Jackson’s fantasy epic the Lord of the Rings. Over three films she played the elf maiden who is in a romantic relationship with the hero Aragon. This would end up being the role that Tyler is now most recognised for. This ended in 2003 with the release of the final film in the trilogy, the Return of the King.
Tyler continued to act for other well known film directors. In 2004 she played the lead female role in Kevin Smith’s Jersey Girl. In the movie she plays the romantic interest of Ben Affleck. The two were given praise for their chemistry.
Before her big break into Hollywood, Tyler was performing in music videos. Her most significant role was for Aerosmith’s video for Crazy. These early entries into acting helped Liv to develop her acting skills. They also allowed her to gain increased exposure. For these reasons Aerosmith were an important part of why she is now considered one of the best actresses of the early 2000s.
